Casteldimezzo: HistoryCasteldimezzo is a very small Medieval village built around the year one thousand on a promontory of Mount San Bartolo Natural Park, on the peak, at about 200 metres above sea level. Situated between the tourist port of Baia Vallugola and Fiorenzuola di Focara, there are still the remains of the surrounding walls.
The fortress, destroyed in the last century, used to stand approximately where the restaurant is, as can be seen in a water colour by Mingucci from the XVII century which can be admired in a nice reproduction inside the restaurant.
